Visions From Remembered Futures will feature over 15 SuperRare artists exploring themes of humanism and Sci-Fi inspired by cyberpunk landscapes of both the near and far future. Created in different styles, the artworks share a common thread: a futuristic reflection on the human condition and its ever-expanding relation to machines. Each artwork contains within it an entire world and mythology. Imagined technologies portrayed in Sci-Fi literature have played an important role in inspiring technological innovation while simultaneously providing a vehicle of expression for those unspoken modern hopes and anxieties. Bringing the NFT movement, which is inherently futuristic, to the mainstream audiences is bridging the digital and physical realms as well as the present world and future ones. Digital art, though it’s been around for decades, has been historically sidelined by galleries and museums, in part due to the difficulties of physically exhibiting and collecting works whose natural home is a virtual space. NFTs have enabled artists and collectors to elevate artworks whose digital medium visually reflects the otherwise inexpressible realities of our fast-paced post-digital world. Paving the way for new genres of art, the NFT movement has opened doors for digital artists to be taken seriously in the art market and the fine art world.
